Relive the pioneer spirit of Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula and experience remote wilderness in its autumn prime. The Moran 166 is now a collection of gravel bike races which showcase the best gravel in the region. In addition to our 166 mile event we offer a 66 mile and new 33 mile option.
Essential information about the Moran 166 bike race:
$2,000 cash prize purse for top 3 men/women of the Moran 166 event. Trophies for top 3 men/women of the 66-mile event.
Moran 166 starts at 7:30 AM. Moran 66 starts at 9:00 AM. 33 Mile option starts at 9:30 AM.
We will have 4 aid stations for the 166. Please see the FAQ page for locations. The 66 mile course has 1 aid station and the 33 mile does not have an aid station.
The 166, 66, & 33 events will be timed by Superior Timing with additional splits at the aid stations. Results are live and shared into the internet!
The average high temp in late September is 66 degrees F. The average low is 48 degrees F.
Packet pickup will be at the start/finish area Friday before the race (2-7PM) and Saturday starting at 6:30AM.
